How it works
- Load the braids
Gently pull apart the braided sections along the dragon’s body and tuck dry treats or pieces of kibble in between the twists. You can also use small, slightly soft treats that wedge nicely into the fabric. - Adjust the difficulty
For an easier game, place treats closer to the surface where they’re easy to spot and sniff out. For more of a challenge, press them deeper into the braids so your dog has to work harder to nuzzle, paw and un-twist the sections to get them. - Let the foraging begin
Offer the dragon to your dog and let them explore. They’ll sniff along the braids, use their nose and tongue to tease treats out, and may gently paw, tug or shake the toy as they go. - Play continues after the treats
Once the snacks are gone, the long, floppy body and built-in squeaker keep the dragon interesting for a bit more interactive play and cuddling.
Features & benefits
- Plush treat puzzle in a fun dragon design – Combines a soft toy with a simple enrichment puzzle to encourage sniffing, nibbling and gentle problem-solving.
- Braided treat-hiding sections – Multiple twisty sections along the body create little pockets to tuck kibble or treats into, supporting natural foraging behaviour.
- Customisable challenge – Place treats shallow for beginners, or push them deeper into the braids for dogs who are ready for a trickier search.
- Engaging squeaker & floppy body – The long, soft shape is ideal for light tugging, tossing and carrying around, while the squeaker helps keep focus on the toy rather than the environment.
- Part of the Think N’ Thrive range – Designed to provide mental stimulation and help take the edge off busy brains; short enrichment sessions can be surprisingly tiring in a good way.
- Lightweight and easy to handle – Approximate item dimensions 36 x 12 x 8 cm and weight around 150 grams
- Great for indoor enrichment – Ideal for rainy days, quiet evenings or whenever your dog needs a bit of mental work without overdoing the physical exercise.
Enrichment ideas
- Use part of your dog’s daily kibble allowance in the braids so they “work” for their dinner instead of eating from a regular bowl.
- Mix regular kibble with a few high-value treats so your dog gets surprise “jackpot” finds as they forage.
- Offer the Twistiez Dragon as a calm pre-bedtime activity to help your dog wind down with sniffing and searching.
- Rotate this toy with other puzzles, snuffle mats and lick mats across the week to keep enrichment feeling fresh and exciting.
- Set up a simple “find it” game by hiding the loaded dragon in an easy spot and encouraging your dog to sniff it out.
Safety & care
This is an interactive enrichment toy, not a chew toy. Always supervise your dog while they’re using the Twistiez Dragon, especially if they like to shred plush toys, and remove it if you notice any damage or if they start chewing pieces off. Choose a toy style that suits your dog’s size and play style. Spot clean or wash with warm water and mild soap, rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry before the next session.
