How it works
- Load the peas with treats
Pop small dry treats or pieces of kibble into the openings on each pea and inside the outer pea pod case, tucking them into the fleece folds so they’re not immediately visible. - Reassemble the pea pod
Place the removable peas back into the pod so your dog has to nudge, paw and sniff them out. Make it easier by leaving the peas slightly exposed, or tuck them in deeper for more of a challenge. - Offer the toy to your dog
Put the pea pod on the floor and encourage your dog to investigate. They’ll use their nose and mouth to pull out the peas, hunt for treats and enjoy the built-in squeakers along the way. - Refill and rotate
Once the treats are gone, reload the peas and pod with more kibble or use it as a soft squeaky toy for interactive games. Rotate it with other puzzles and snuffle toys to keep things exciting.

Enrichment ideas
- Use part of your dog’s daily kibble allowance in the peas and pod instead of extra treats for a lower-calorie enrichment option.
- Mix regular kibble with a few extra-tasty treats inside the peas to create “jackpot” finds that keep your dog motivated.
- Start with one or two peas loaded and visible for beginners, then build up to all peas fully tucked inside as your dog gets the hang of it.
- Combine the Pea Snuffle Dog Toy with a snuffle mat or lick mat in the same session for a longer enrichment routine.
- Use it as a pre-dinner “warm up” game to encourage calm, focused sniffing before their main meal.
Safety & care
This is an interactive enrichment and play toy, not a chew toy. Always supervise your dog while they’re using the Pea Snuffle Dog Toy and remove it if they start to chew aggressively, rip at the fabric or damage any pieces. Choose an appropriate difficulty level for your dog and help them if they become frustrated or try to chew instead of sniff. Regularly check the toy for wear and loose seams, and spot clean or gently hand wash as needed, allowing it to dry completely before the next use.
