How it works
- Set up as a flat snuffle mat
Lay the mat out flat on the floor so all the soft felt “petals” and folds are visible and spread out. - Scatter food or treats
Sprinkle your dog’s kibble, dry treats or small pieces of dried food deep into the felt layers so they’re hidden and your dog needs to sniff to find them. You can use part or all of their regular meal instead of a bowl. - Cinch into a slow feeder bowl
Pull the adjustable drawstring to gather the mat up into a bowl shape. This creates a deeper “nest” of fabric where the food is tucked away, helping to slow down enthusiastic eaters while keeping everything contained. - Let your dog forage and enjoy
Place the bowl or mat on the floor and let your dog sniff, nuzzle and gently paw through the fabric to uncover their food. The non-slip backing helps it stay put while they work, and the roomy design comfortably fits a typical small–medium dog meal.
Features & benefits
- 2-in-1 convertible design – Use it flat as a snuffle mat for wide, spread-out foraging or cinch it into a bowl for slower, more contained feeding.
- Supports slower eating – Encourages your dog to work for every piece, which can help reduce gulping and support better digestion compared to eating from a regular bowl.
- Great for mental stimulation – Sniffing and foraging tap into natural hunting instincts, helping to tire your dog out mentally and provide a calmer kind of enrichment, especially on rainy or busy days.
- Compact & portable – Drawstring design allows the mat to cinch up into a small, easy-to-carry bundle that’s great for travel, holidays or taking to the office.
- Anti-slip backing – Non-slip fabric on the bottom helps keep the mat more stable on hard floors while your dog snuffles.
- Soft, felt fabric – Made from soft, eco-conscious felt that’s gentle on noses and paws and ideal for snuffling, not gnawing.
- Multiple size configurations
- Approx. compact storage size: 29 × 29 × 8 cm
- Approx. expanded bowl size: 43 × 43 × 8 cm
Enrichment ideas
- Use your dog’s regular kibble in the snuffle bowl & mat instead of feeding from a standard bowl to naturally slow down meals.
- Mix a few high-value treats (like dried meat pieces) in with their normal kibble to create exciting “jackpot” finds.
- Set it up flat as a mat for beginner snufflers, then gradually cinch it into a deeper bowl as your dog gets more confident and skilled.
- Hide the loaded mat in different rooms and cue your dog to “find it” for an easy indoor nosework game.
- Rotate this snuffle bowl with other enrichment toys, lick mats and puzzle feeders through the week to keep things fresh and interesting.
Safety & care
This is an interactive enrichment toy, not a chew toy. Always supervise your dog while they’re using the snuffle bowl & mat and remove it if they begin to chew, rip at the fabric or damage any parts. Choose an appropriate level of difficulty for your dog and help them if they get frustrated. Shake out any leftover kibble after use and clean regularly – the mat can be machine-washed on a gentle cycle or hand-washed in warm, soapy water, then thoroughly air-dried before the next session.
