How it works
- Lay it out or cinch it up
Place the mat on the floor open in its full lotus shape, or use the drawstring to cinch it up into more of a bowl to increase the challenge. - Hide the kibble and treats
Sprinkle dry kibble or small dry treats between the flower “petals”, tucking pieces into the folds and pockets. Use the centre of the flower as an extra hiding spot with deeper treats to pull out. - Adjust the difficulty
For beginners, leave more food closer to the top of the petals and keep the mat more open. For intermediate snufflers, cinch the mat tighter with the drawstring and push treats further into the fleece layers. - Let your dog forage
Pop the mat down and let your dog sniff, nuzzle and gently paw through the petals to find every last piece. The suction cup base helps keep it more stable on smooth floors while they work.
Features & benefits
- Lotus flower snuffle design – Soft fleece petals create plenty of hiding spots so your dog can sniff and search for their food instead of gulping it from a bowl.
- Beginner to intermediate difficulty – Easy enough for snuffle beginners, with room to level up by cinching the drawstring and hiding treats deeper for more of a challenge.
- Two sizes in one –
- Approx. 27 × 27 × 10 cm when closed up
- Approx. 45 × 45 × 10 cm when fully opened
- Room for a full meal – Holds up to around 2 cups of dry kibble, making it suitable as a full-meal slow feeder for many dogs or as a generous snack puzzle.
- Suction cup base – The base features a suction cup to help anchor the mat on smooth surfaces like tiles, reducing sliding while your dog is snuffling.
- Soft fleece/felt-style fabric – Gentle on noses and paws, ideal for snuffling and nudging rather than chewing.
- Central treat pocket – Extra hiding space in the centre of the flower encourages dogs to keep working and pulling out hidden rewards.
- Suitable for all sizes – Works for small to large dogs; simply adjust the amount of food and difficulty to suit your individual dog.
- Gentle machine washable – Easy to freshen up between uses; just use a gentle machine cycle or hand wash and air dry thoroughly.
- Pretty pink colour – Stocked in a soft pink shade that looks as lovely in your home as it is fun for your dog.
Enrichment ideas
- Use part or all of your dog’s daily kibble in the Lotus Flower Snuffle Mat instead of a regular bowl to naturally slow their eating.
- Mix standard kibble with a few higher-value treats so your dog occasionally hits a “jackpot” while they forage.
- Offer the mat after a walk or training session as a calm, nose-led activity to help your dog wind down.
- Try the mat more open for easy days and cinched tighter for days when your dog needs a bit more of a challenge.
- Rotate this snuffle mat with other enrichment options like lick mats, puzzle toys and snuffle boxes across the week to keep things fresh and engaging.
Safety & care
This is an interactive enrichment toy, not a chew toy. Always supervise your dog while they use the Lotus Flower Snuffle Mat and remove it if they start to chew, rip at the fabric or damage any parts. Choose a difficulty level that suits your dog’s experience and help them at first if they’re new to snuffle mats. After each use, shake out any remaining kibble or crumbs, then gently machine wash or hand wash as needed and air dry completely before offering it again.
